Senior Negotiations Support Job Description:

The Bulk Negotiations and Creditor Relations Team Lead will oversee a team of negotiators and administrators, driving performance to meet settlement goals while maintaining strong creditor relations. This role involves team management, process improvement, and inventory management, focusing on increasing revenue and settlement efficiency.


Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership and Oversight:
    • Supervise and manage a team of negotiators and administrators to ensure they meet their monthly settlement goals.
    • Monitor team performance, address productivity issues, and ensure adherence to KPIs.
    • Provide support to the Transactions and Negotiations departments as necessary.
    • Collaborate with bulk partners to develop strategies that increase revenue and settlement efficiency.
  • Creditor Relations and Inventory Management:
    • Conduct monthly performance reviews and meetings with creditors and oversee the onboarding process of new creditors.
    • Maintain and update creditor inventory, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
    • Deliver updates to management on inventory, creditor performance, and automation results.
    • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with creditors.
  • Process Improvement and Implementation:
    • Analyze reports to identify areas for improvement in creditor performance and implement recommended process changes.
    • Manage the day-to-day activities of scrub and automation platforms, identifying gaps and ensuring data accuracy.
    • Oversee the monthly scrub file process, including uploading lists, following up on pending lists, and verifying data accuracy.
    • Address issues such as overmatched accounts, too many matches, and no matches.
    • Review daily creditor rejections and conduct creditor intel reviews.
  • Settlement and Compliance:
    • Ensure timely delivery of settlement letters retrieved from scrub partners.
    • Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure compliance and efficiency in settlement processes.
  • Qualifications and Skills:
    • Proven experience in a Senior Negotiations role, preferably with experience in both creditor relations and team management.
    • Strong technical skills with preferred experience with PowerBi.
    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, macros, and VBA.
    • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret and act on complex data.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with creditors and team members.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve high performance.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to adapt to changing processes and implement improvements effectively.
