SENIOR NEGOTIATIONS SUPPORT JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking an initiative-taking and experienced Senior Negotiations Support Team Lead to join our team. This leadership role requires a dynamic individual with proven experience in creditor relations and team leadership. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, innovative thinking, and the ability to take initiative. This role not only encompasses the current responsibilities of the support team, but also aims to elevate the department by implementing advanced strategies, improving processes, and driving operational efficiency.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Team Performance and Development:
- Monitor and enhance team performance, developing improvement plans.
- Provide training, feedback, and implement quality control measures.
- Lead and participate in projects focused on client satisfaction, operational excellence, and employee satisfaction.
- Take ownership of the team’s responsibilities and outcomes, with minimal direction from leadership. • Communication and Documentation:
- Demonstrate professionalism and integrity in all communications.
- Ensure high standards of accuracy and timeliness in documentation.
Interdepartmental Coordination:
- Coordinate with other departments to resolve client issues and address escalated matters.
- Ensure seamless communication between client servicing team and negotiations support.
Debt and Payment Management:
- Guide the team in checking the status of debts eligible for settlement.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate debt status information.
- Oversee the resolution of uncashed payments by creditors, including troubleshooting and reinstating pending settlements.
- Coordinate and oversee check-by-phone payment setups.
- Review and resolve pending payments where client reserve accounts lack sufficient funds.

Lead the team in promptly addressing payment issues.
Confidentiality and Professionalism:
- Operate with discretion and confidentiality, protecting all personal information.
Efficiency Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead the team in implementing solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Use analytical skills to drive process enhancements and operational efficiency.
- Continuously evaluate and improve current processes to make them better and more efficient.

- Proven experience working with creditors and collection agencies.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and efficiency.
- Proficient in using Google, Microsoft Office, Trello software and tools for documentation and payment processing.
- Ability to innovate leveraging technology to streamline processes and improve client experience.
